Roman copper alloy bow brooch, 38mm long, 24mm wide and 9mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 10.47grams. The brooch consists of solid circular sectioned wings with a pin bar running through and traces of iron pin in the central recess. The bow is rectangular in form and has a hollow reverse. It is decorated with two linear grooves forming a border containing two slightly raised lines which appear to merge. The whole object is thickly tinned and the bow has broken just below the wings.
