Medieval copper alloy harness pendant, 40mm long, 33mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 11.05grams. The object is shield shaped and flat and contains a recessed image of a standing lion, it is stylised, with a skinny body, large head and over-large paws, suggesting an early date? It has very small patches of possible gilding and has a circular hole in the centre of its lower, pointed edge, which appears to be a secondary as it cuts through the decoration.

Medieval lead alloy seal matrix, 32mm long, 22mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a grey patina and weighs 11.60 grams. The object is oval in form with pointed terminals. It appears to have had an inscription at some point surrounding an incised border, but this is very worn. The other side has raised decoration which consists of a wheatsheaf? there is a rounded protrusion below this which may have been a handle.

The loop is circular in section and form and emerges from a semi-circular sectioned, rectangular shaped plate. The loop has a small semi-circular recess above an integral bar with a circular hole below it to contain the pin. This is folded around the bar and tapers to a point. Roman copper alloy bow brooch, 45mm long, 12mm wide and 21mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 18.38grams. The object consists of semi circular wings which contain a spring of 20 coils. The wings have raised, rounded terminals and a central raised ridge which is flanked by a linear incision. The bow is sub-circular in section and appears to be plain. It has snapped off just after it turns downwards and the brooch is very worn here, there is also an area of 'bubbling' on the underside, caused either by poor casting or corrosion?

The object consists of a curved bow which has a raised rectangular protrusion in its centre which is picked out in gold. part of the head plate survives and is decorated with incisions picked out in gold. behind this is a two semi-circular copper alloy lugs which hold the remains of an iron pin.

Roman copper alloy Headstud brooch, 33mm long, 12mm wide and 15mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 5.07 grams. The brooch has a rectangular head with the remains of a hinged pin in the centre. It has a rectangular sectioned bow which is decorated with a raised circle at its shoulder. Below this is a line of raised circles which is flanked by two lines of red enamel. The brooch is quite worn but appears to have further decoration running down the sides and it is missing its pin and catchplate.

The brooch is oval in form and rectangular in section with a central oval recess in its face. Between the recess and the edge is an area of enamelling which is largely white with six narrow bands of dark blue which appears to fade into the white. The mount consists of a sub triangular loop with a rectangular section, this has two curved protrusions flanking its 'point'. Below this is a trefoil terminal. The mount has one intact rectangular sectioned rivet and the trace of another at the opposite end. Brian Read has dated this type of mount to the 17th C.(p.28 fig.300).
