Early medieval copper alloy brooch head fragment, 22mm long, 20mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 7.23g. The objects consist of the central portion of a brooch head. It is recatngular in form and flat. It is plain except for traces of the stepped line running down at each side from which the sides of the headplate would emerge. The reverse has an incomplete semi-circular suspension loop surrounded by iron staining.

Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount, 49 mm long, 36mm in width, 6mm thick and weighing 31.7g.
The object is intact and is a very good example of a Williams class B type 2, group 1 mount. It is pentagonal in shape and rectangular in cross-section. It is openwork and decorated with two rather angular animal heads, one positioned above the other in the centre. The whorl is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has one roughly incised cross on its side. Its form, which matches Walton class A2-B1, and its wide aperture of 10-12mm, suggest an early medieval date. A complete cast copper alloy Post Medieval hooked tag, 29mm long, 14mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 1.56grams.
The openwork circular plate has a 'heart' shaped motif in the centre, held in place with a horizontal bar going through it and attaching it to the outer frame. Above the plate is a rectangular attachment loop and below is a complete hook bent back behind the plate. Where the hook joins the frame there is a recatungalr protrusion which resembles a four petalled flower motif. The object matches NLM-6A4072

Medieval copper alloy single loop folding buckle clasp fastener with plate, dating to c. AD 1300-1450.
The object is rectangular in form and cross section and comprises of three components. The first is a long rectangular sheet which has been folded in half around the buckle frame. Its two sheets are held together at their open end with a single centrally placed, circular rivet. The plates current shape suggests severe wear.

Roman silver ring fragmen. The object consists of a raised circular bezel, 8mm in diameter and 2mm thick, which appears undecorated. The tapering shoulders emerge from the base of this and are 6mm wide and 1mm thick. They are decorated with two central incised lines flanked by a border of triangular depressions. The ring is of poor quality silver and has been crudely cast.
The object is in a fair condition having a scratched surface and a dark silver patina. It is 15mm long and 8mm wide and weighs 1.37grams.

Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type), cf. Mackreth 2011, 4.l. pg. 74, Plate 48. It is 51mm long, 18mm wide and 11mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 8.83grams. The brooch has short hollow wings with a semi-circular hole to hold a spring bar. Part of the spring mechanism sits above the centre of the wings. It has a long sub-rectangular sectioned bow. Roman copper alloy plain hinged bow brooch, 26mm long, 22mm wide and 7mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 2.98grams. The brooch has circular sectioned solid wings which sit above the bow at an angle and form a central rectangualr void, presumambly where the hinge fitted. The bow is triangular in section and is slightly curved. There is no sign of decoration on the brooch and no catchplate or pin present.

The object is sub triangular in form and has a ridge along its longest straight edge where something has snapped off. Its surface is decorated with a line of six incised ring and dot motifs running its length with a further one on each side near the wide edge. The key is sub circular in section and begins with a small section of shaft, 4mm long, decorated with two horizontal incised lines. The key then forms a hollow lozenge shape with protuding knops, C.2mm wide, at each side. There is a sub spherical collar below this with an incised lower border before the key continues as a single shaft. It has snapped off here and at its furthest end.

Post Medieval, copper alloy trade weight? 14mm in diameter and 3mm thick. The weight is in good condition with a green patina and a weight of 2.59grams. The weight is marked with the ewer of the London founders company who issued the weights and has what appears to be a crown minus the monarchs initial? The shape of the weight and the marks fit with the smaller ones issued between 1590 and 1826, but without an initial its not datable.

Late Iron Age to Roman copper alloy Colchester type bow brooch, 65mm long, 21mm wide and weighing 12.20 grams. The brooch is plain with short open wings containing a spring of seven coils. The curved bow is sub circular in section and tapers to a point and has a raised tapering area protruding from the spring and down the centre of the upper part of the bow. Traces of a catchplate 16mm long are just visible and the upper part of the pin survives.

The matrix is circular and has a protruding knop at the upper edge. Below this is an incsribed cross which begins the inscription of which only a few letters can be made out, SIGI--NIS-----RDI. Inside the inscription is foliate decoration containing a central upright stem with three feathery protrusions, below, on either side of this is a slightly curved 'tendril' and below that a swirl. The reverse is plain.
