Recovered (on the advice of English Heritage) during an archaeological evaluation undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology Ltd. Description - At least two vessels of very similar form but of different sizes. In addition, running beneath the larger bowl is a large iron object with a rounded terminal. Roman copper alloy plain hinged bow brooch, 26mm long, 22mm wide and 7mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 2.98grams. The brooch has circular sectioned solid wings which sit above the bow at an angle and form a central rectangualr void, presumambly where the hinge fitted. The bow is triangular in section and is slightly curved. There is no sign of decoration on the brooch and no catchplate or pin present.

Roman copper alloy disc brooch, 22mm in diameter and 2mm thick (6mm at catchplate). The object is in fair condition with a green/brown patina and weighs 3.64grams. The object is sub triangular in form and has a ridge along its longest straight edge where something has snapped off. Its surface is decorated with a line of six incised ring and dot motifs running its length with a further one on each side near the wide edge. The key is sub circular in section and begins with a small section of shaft, 4mm long, decorated with two horizontal incised lines. The key then forms a hollow lozenge shape with protuding knops, C.2mm wide, at each side. There is a sub spherical collar below this with an incised lower border before the key continues as a single shaft. It has snapped off here and at its furthest end.

The curved bow is sub circular in section and tapers to a point and has a raised tapering area protruding from the spring and down the centre of the upper part of the bow. Traces of a catchplate 16mm long are just visible and the upper part of the pin survives.

Medieval lead alloy seal matrix, 35mm long, 31mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a cream patina and weighs 13.22gram. The matrix is circular and has a protruding knop at the upper edge. Below this is an incsribed cross which begins the inscription of which only a few letters can be made out, SIGI--NIS-----RDI. Inside the inscription is foliate decoration containing a central upright stem with three feathery protrusions, below, on either side of this is a slightly curved 'tendril' and below that a swirl. The reverse is plain.

Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends), Mackreth 2011, 4.a-4.b, 4c, Plate 46. The brooch appears to be plain and is missing its spring and catchplate, despite damage to its wings and some pitting, has a good surface patina. The wings are short and their edges have worn away. The bow is plain and has a semi-circular section and tapers to a point.It is 39mm long, 16mm wide and 12mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 7.14grams.

A Late Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy linch pin head. It is 20mm long and 15mm in diameter. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 15.55g. The object is cylindrical and has a straight outer section at each end C.5mm wide, which contains a semi-circular recessed centre, C.7mm wide and 10mm in diameter. At each end there is a protrusion, one is rectangular and is 5mm wide and protrudes 2mm, it has possible tooling marks around its base? at the other end is a shallow raised circle with a hollow centre.
