Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount, 49 mm long, 36mm in width, 6mm thick and weighing 31.7g. The object is intact and is a very good example of a Williams class B type 2, group 1 mount. It is pentagonal in shape and rectangular in cross-section. It is openwork and decorated with two rather angular animal heads, one positioned above the other in the centre. Each head has a double V-shaped or inverted chevron ridge forming brows above a triangular nose and raised globular eyes. The upper head sits in the apex of the triangle, just below a central fix…

Medieval to post medieval lead alloy standing/pyramidal weight, 39mm long, 19mm wide, 15mm thick and weighs 59.93g. The weight is triangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has an integral suspension hole near its flattened apex. It is roughly cast and damaged. It is similar to WMID-64ED04 and HAMP-C179D3 which are dated 1200-1600.

Early Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 21mm in diameter and 14mm thick and weighs 32.78grams. The whorl is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has one roughly incised cross on its side. Its form, which matches Walton class A2-B1, and its wide aperture of 10-12mm, suggest an early medieval date. Similar whorls have been found in neighbouring Lincolnshire, for example NLM-B1C990 NLM-525B73 NLM-1372D8

Medieval copper alloy vessel rim, 73mm long, 32mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 21.36grams. The object consists of two joining fragments of a vessel rim. The rim is marked with an indented line, c. 10mm in, running parallel with its edge. each fragment has the remains of a circular? hole punched out of it, possibly to accomodate a handle.

Post medieval copper alloy buckle, 25mm long, 14mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 2.16g. The buckle is rectangular in form with tapering sides and a triangular protrusion with incised groove forming an exagerated pin rest. It is probably a spur buckle, fashionable in 17th Century.
