Roman or early medieval copper alloy plate? Length: 20 mm, width: 12 mm, thickness: 1 mm, weight: 1.05 grams. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and forms a plate with a circular hole, 2mm diameter, in each corner. The plate is decorated with a border along its two long edges of a stamped dot and semi-circle. In its centre is a line of 6 circular stamps which appear to be flanked by one or two smaller circular stamps radiating outwards from three points. The object is probably a decorative plate from an unknown object?
