Medieval? copper alloy peg or fitting, 33mm long, 19mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in good condition with a greyish patina and weighs 6.68grams. The object is circular in form and rectangular in section with a circular hole in its centre. It has a lipped collar from which a tapering circular sectioned prong emerges. The object may be a fitting from a chafing dish.
