Medieval copper alloy harness hook. The object is in the form of an animal head, possibly a dog. It consists of a rectangular protrusion with a slit across it, representing the muzzle, sitting on a conical shaped terminal. Protruding from the base of this shaft is a circular-sectioned shaft which is curved to form a loop or hook. These objects have been dated to 1200-1450 by Brian Read, see SOM-E27044 see also HAMP-38CB03, BH-A84E16, SWYOR-109B06, SF-0D38B5

Medieval Copper alloy harness hook, 75mm long and 10mm wide. The object is formed of an animal head 15mm high and 10mm wide, it has a partially open mouth, flared nostrils and pointed ears. It then forms a neck which begins 5mm wide and flares out to 10mm. This is joined onto a circular shaft c.5mm wide, which in turns tapers down to 3mm after a length of 12mm. Medieval copper alloy harness mount, 50mm long, 22mm wide and 9mm thick at hook. The object is in fair condition and weighs 13.64grams. The object consists of a triangular plate which is decorated on both surfaces with slightly embossed, foliate decoration. The lower pointed edge holds a raised rectangular collar which sits above a circular sectioned hook. There are no obvious breaks, but also no fixing holes. Medieval copper alloy harness hook, 66mm long, 11mm wide and thick and weighing 19.78grams. The object consists of a circular cross-sectioned 'conical' terminal which has a zoomorphic head, suggestive of a dog. Protruding from the base of the terminal is a circular cross-sectioned shaft which tapers slightly in width and becomes flatter. This has a slight bend to it, other examples found have the shaft formed into a hook. A similar example, with gilding was found in Gilmorton, Leics. see LEIC-B07231. Medieval or post medieval copper alloy belt mount, 43mm long, 8mm wide and 9mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 7.54grams. The mount is in the form of a hook with a rectangular shaped extension. This has two circular rivet holes protruding from its reverse. The hook is aligned so the the open side is aligned with the rivets, presumably to make anything suspended from the hook more secure if attached to a belt worn at the waist.

Medieval hook mount made in copper alloy. There is a straight bar which is rectangular in shape and has a triangular section at the bottom. On the front of the straight bar there is a vertical line that travels straight down the bar. On the reverse side of the bar there are two small round rivets which would attach to something. Below the triangular section there is the hook, which does not curve straight and bends towards the left.The hook weighs 13.84 grams and is 45mm long and 15mm wide
