Silver Henry VI groat, 27mm in diameter, 1mm thick and 3.75 grams in weight. The obverse shows forward facing bust in trefoil ? inscription reads HENRIC.DI.GRA [REX.ANGL][...] The reverse shows two lines of inscription with long cross and three pellets in each quarter. Two sets of pellets are joined by an annulet. Outer inscription reads ADVITORE MEVM POSVI DEVM inner reads VILLA CALISIE. The mintmark is a pierced cross, this and the Calais mint date the coin to 1424-1440.

Incription starts with a cross patonce and is abbreviated with rosettes. It reads HENRICDIGRAREXANGLZFRANC. Reverse shows long cross and three pellets with two lines of inscription with various symbols breaking up the lettering. VIL(mascle)LA(double saltaire)CALISIE(rosette) The outer inscription reads (plain cross) POSVI(rosette)DEUM(double saltaire)ADIVTORE(double saltaire)MEUM this identifies it a sa rosette mascle issue of Henry VI 1427-30. …
