The band tapers slightly in width, starting about half the width of the bezel and slowly becoming narrower. It has linear ridges along its upper surface. Description: Post medieval gold finger ring, 19mm diameter and 4.5mm wide and weighing 1.96grams. The ring is decorated on the outer surface with a frieze showing a fox (?) being chased by a hound. This is flanked by scrolls and two horned devils. The circle is completed by a decorative sub rectangular motif. The internal surface of the ring is inscribed with IN TIME MAY I. Discussion: The inscription is not recorded by Joan Evans but the use of capital letters and the fine renaissance style decoration suggests a date in the 16th or early 17th century.

Post Medieval gold finger ring, plain D shaped band, inscribed internally with 'Accept my goodwill' Judy Rudoe examined the ring and concluded, The inscription matches in form and content that found on two gold posy rings in the collection of the British Museum, 1961,1202.383 and 1961,1202.384, both dated broadly to the 17th or 18th centuries. The former is also a plain, D-shaped band. It consists of a plain band with a concave outer surface and a flat inner. It is inscribed inside with the words 'Honnored for thy vertue' followed by a makers mark, the initials I(J)C with a dot below in a scutiform border. Medieval gold finger ring, 27mm long, 7mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 3.71grams. The ring has a rectangular cross section and has been flattened and has a clean cut through the loop. The decoration on each cut edge would join up, so there is no portion of the object missing. One edge is bent slightly upwards and corresponds to some crumpling damage at the point where it is bent over itself. The other portion sits neatly over the loop and has a 'clean' bend.
