Medieval gold annular brooch, 21.5mm in diameter and 1 mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 2.64grams. The brooch is circular in form and rectangular in section with a slight concavity. It has been bent out of shape at some point and has small creases on part of its surface. The object has a small recess which holds a semi-circular pin bar. The upper surface of the brooch is inscribed AVE: MARIA GRATIA in Lombardic scrpit and has a narrow incised border on its inner edge.

Date: 16th- 17th century Discovery: metal detecting Description: Post Medieval gold posy ring, 17.5mm in diameter, 5mm wide and 1mm thick and weighs 2.31grams. The ring is in the form of two rings put together, a design echoed by the inscription inside, which reads: + LIVE AND LOVE TOGETHER. Normally a short text like this would go right round the inside, but it has been deliberately split into two rows so that half the text appears on each half of the ring. Post Medieval dress fastener 15mm long, 15mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in good condition and weighs 0.67grams. The object is semi-circular in form with three small circular attachment loops around its outer edge. It is decorated with a large triangular motif formed of twisted wire with a floral motif in another triangle in its centre. Twisted wire also decorates the objects edge, which has four rounded protrusions with the loops sitting between.
