Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type), cf. Mackreth 2011, 4.l. pg. 74, Plate 48. It is 51mm long, 18mm wide and 11mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 8.83grams. The brooch has short hollow wings with a semi-circular hole to hold a spring bar. Part of the spring mechanism sits above the centre of the wings. It has a long sub-rectangular sectioned bow. Roman copper alloy plain hinged bow brooch, 26mm long, 22mm wide and 7mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 2.98grams. The brooch has circular sectioned solid wings which sit above the bow at an angle and form a central rectangualr void, presumambly where the hinge fitted. The bow is triangular in section and is slightly curved. There is no sign of decoration on the brooch and no catchplate or pin present.

Roman copper alloy disc brooch, 22mm in diameter and 2mm thick (6mm at catchplate). The object is in fair condition with a green/brown patina and weighs 3.64grams. The brooch is decorated with an outer raised border with a further inner border, 2mm in from the edge. This is filled with what is now red enamel.
