Medieval gold annular brooch, 21.5mm in diameter and 1 mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 2.64grams. The brooch is circular in form and rectangular in section with a slight concavity. It has been bent out of shape at some point and has small creases on part of its surface. The object has a small recess which holds a semi-circular pin bar. The upper surface of the brooch is inscribed AVE: MARIA GRATIA in Lombardic scrpit and has a narrow incised border on its inner edge.

The head is very small in proportion to the body and is realistically styled with two raised ears and a small mane behind. Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch fragment of flat wing ends type. It consists of one wing of a Polden hill type brooch. The wing is decorated with a raised edge and a central raised ridge. The point where the bow starts is also present on a raised platform. It is 24mm long, 8mm high, 2mm thick and weighs 4.33grams. The object is in fair condition.

Roman copper alloy bow brooch, 58mm long, 50mm wide and 27mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 29.6grams. The wings are circular and solid on the edges with a central recess for a spring. The wings are decorated with an incised diagonal stripe. The bow is circular in section and tapers gently to a point. The catchplate takes up half the length of the bow and is intact with a turned edge.

Roman copper alloy brooch, 31mm long, 22mm wide and 13mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 7.72grams. The brooch has semi-circular wings which are damaged and no spring is present. The bow is wide and decorated with a central vertical ridge which is flanked by a series of vertical narrow ridges. The bow tapers in width steeply from the wings but has snapped off about 10mmm down. The brooch is probably a T shaped type.

The fragment represents part of the foot of a great square-headed brooch, whose reverse contains a catchplate. The surface of the brooch is decorated with relief carving, some of which is heavily gilded. The object is an irregular shape and there are no signs of an original edge. The reverse, and a small part of the front, is covered in iron staining.

Fragment for the foot of what is likely to have been a Great Square Headed Brooch. The face in decorated in Anglo-Saxon Style I, the details of which are partly obscured by corrosion. In the centre of the fragment is a shield-shaped panel. This is difficult to parallel but is probably based on the triangular panel seen on other brooches. On the back is a narrow, tapering rib which represents the end of the catch-plate. 40mm long, 32mm wide and 8mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 11.80 grams.

Copper alloy Medieval annular brooch, 17mm in diameter and 4mm thick. The brooch consists of a flat circular disc 5mm wide and 1mm thick, which has notches cut out of its outer surface at regular intervals. The inner half of the disc rises another 3mm and is 2mm thick. This disc has one notch cut away, lining up with one of the lower notches to provide space for the pin to be attached. The upper surface of this has lines cut out to form decoration. The brooch is missing its pin, but is in good condition with a greyish green patina.
