Medieval copper alloy vessel fragment, 44mm long, 19mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 7.15G. The fragment is sub rectangular in form and cross section. It has one flat edge which is intact and forms the rim of the vessel. It has a rounded profile is c5 mm deep and is set back slightly from the main body of the vessel. It is slightly stepped here and then has a blank section c12 mm wide and then is decorated with two closely spaced incised lines. The curve of the object is very slight, so it is a rim fragment of a large bowl or ewer?

The outer surface is a grey colour and the core is a pale orange. Probably Medieval in date.

Late Medieval copper alloy vessel spout in the form of a dog, 60mm long and 41mm high and c. 13.5mm thick. The object is circular in cross section and is hollow. At one end it forms an angular dogs head. This has an open mouth from which the circular spout protrudes. The dog's head is formed of moulded decoration, and has rounded ears, a squared brow and eyes. At the opposite end the spout curves through ninety degrees downwards and expands into a long open neck where it would have attached to the vessel. It has a prominent ridge running down the centre of its curved front face, but is otherwise plain. Vessel feet of this form are broadly dated with a range of 1250-1600AD.

The sherd has a fine fabric with no obvious inclusions and a dark reddish colour. it has a slightly protruding wheel turned? rim which has a sub triangular profile and sits in front of a straight sided edge. The sherd is probably medieval in date, but the fabric is unfamiliar.

Early medieval to Medieval Stamford ware vessel handle fragment, 37mm long, 31mm wide and 19mm thick with a weight of 10.05 grams. The fragment consists of the upper part of a handle with a rectangular form and a sub rectangular cross section. The intact side edges of the handle have rounded upturned surfaces, creating a central depression. The handle widens outwards slightly at the upper edge. The fabric has a buff, creamy- pink appearance and is covered with a shiny translucent glaze.

Early medieval lead alloy vat, 310mm in diameter, 130mm high and weighing several kgs. The vessel has been formed in two pieces with a flat circular base, now very worn and patched, attached to shallow vertical sides which have been soldered on to the base. The external surface of the vessel is pitted, suggesting it was cast in a sand mould (see below). The upper edge has a turned rim, 15-20mm wide, and attached to the upper part of this are two iron projections, presumably the remains of an attachment loop for a handle or hooked iron loops (see below). Medieval ceramic vessel fragment, 68mm long, 48mm wide and 8-10mm thick with a weight of 34.2grams. The object consists of a large curving body sherd with rim attached. There is a large circular hole just below the rim with projecting edges, suggesting it once had a handle. This and its curved form suggest a pipkin (cooking pot). It has a creamy white/grey colour and a fine fabric consistent with Stamford ware. It also has a rim c.20mm wide, with a flat upper surface which has been rouletted. It has two lines of closely placed rectangular depressions running across its surface.

Roman? glass vessel rim and handle. The rim fragment measures 34mm long, 11mm wide and 3.5mm thick. The attached handle is 26mm long, 21mm wide and 8mm thick at its thickest. The object weighs 5.51grams. The rim consists of a sheet of glass that has been folded over on itself, so that the folded section forms a border around the outside of the object.
