There is a central circular hole, 10mm in diamater and the object appears to be plain, although it has slight diagonally placed incisions along its curved surface. The object matches Walton Rogers form A2 which she dates to 700-1100 AD.

Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 37mm in diameter and 11mm thick with a weight of 44.56g. The object is circular in form and bi-conical in cross section. It has a central circular hole, 11mm in diameter which forms the central feature of its decoration. This consists of a raised 'lozenge' a rectangle with concave sides. Each corner terminates in a semi-spherical knop and in the centre of each edge there is a small projecting raised line which also terminates in a knop. The whorl conforms to Walton Rogers Form C which she dates to 1100 onwards.

Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, thickness: 11 mm, diameter: 30 mm, internal diameter: 7 mm, weight: 26.53 g The spindle whorl is circular in form and bi-conical in cross section. It is decorated on both sides with a row of semi-spheres in a row surrounding the central hole which is 7mm in diamater. In between some of the semi-spheres are raised lines running outwards and terminating at the slightly raised lip running around the whorl. Its form matches Walton Rogers form C, which she dates to the medieval period.

The object is circular in form, but slightly squashed, and sub rectangular in cross section with a central circular hole 8-10 mm in diameter. The whorl has unusual decoration, having a slightly raised lip on the outer edge of each surface. Sitting within this is a series of raised open circles on both faces. The form matches Walton Rogers type B, dating it from 900-1200.
