Post Medieval copper alloy spur rowel, dating to c.1500-1700AD. Length: 55 mm, width: 55 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 16.63 grams. The object is rectangular in cross section and consists of five elongated triangular prongs with sharp points, emerging from a small circular plate with a central hole. In between these on both surfaces, are slight triangular projections with a linear ridge running from the central hole.

Medieval to post medieval copper-alloy spur rowel, 23mm in diameter, 3mm thick and weighing 2.59grams. The rowel consists of a disc witha central circular hole from which radiate eight triangular projections which have slightly bevelled sides.

late Medieval or Post Medieval copper alloy spur rowel, 34mm in diameter and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 7.72grams. The object consists of five tapering points which radiate from a circular centre. The object is decorated with raised 'wedges' set in between the points which taper into the centre and stop at the central circular hole.

Early Post Medieval copper alloy spur rowel, 70mm in diameter, 5mm thick and weighing 54.42 grams. The object is in fair condition with a brownish patina and consists of a circular plate with a central hole which has circular sectioned tapering prongs protruding from it. Large spur rowels were very common in the 1600's an example form Chile is the same size as this object.

Medieval or early post Medieval spur rowel, 45mm in diameter and 3.5mm thick. The rowel has 14 points, one of which has snapped off, each has an eliptical section and a rounded end. The surface of each point is decorated with a raised line, 2mm wide, running its length. The raised line is disected by an incised line every 2mm, forming raised squares. The whole object has traces of gilding over its surface and the central section has traces of green corrosion. The central hole which is 3mm in diameter still has the iron pin in place.
