Medieval lead alloy pilgrim badge?, 27mm long, 26mm wide and 3.5mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 7.34 grams. It consists of a poorly cast circle which has five 'spokes' running into a central circular hub. The outer side of the circle has sub spherical protrusions (technically known as crockets) around most of its length, with one small area having a flattened edge. This looks like either a miscasting or a break point. The object is probably a 'Catherine wheel' representing the torture device used on St. Catherine before her execution.

Medieval lead alloy pilgrim badge, 25mm long, 17mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 2.72grams. The object is in the form of a person, missing the head, which carries an orb and sceptre and is wearing flowing robes. This suggests the royal martyr Henry VI, an unofficial saint championed by Henry VII and VIII (hence the exact date range). His badges sometimes feature a lion at his feet, there is definitely something near the base that could be a reclining animal? The reverse has a clear casting ridge running up the centre with two protrusions suggesting att…

Medieval lead pilgrim badge fragment, 31mm long, 28mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a grey patina and weighs 9.08grams. The object is semi-circular in form and rectangular in section. It appears to depict the neck and shoulders of St. Thomas Becket, probably from the bust style badges illustrated in 'Pilgrim Souvenirs and secular badges' (examples 112-116). It consists of two rectangular panels set diagonally to form a collar. These are decorated with a border of raised dots which contain a line of circle and dot motifs. Below this are two horizontal bands, …
