Roman copper alloy mount or terminal 30mm long, 13mm wide and 14mm thick with a weight of 19.76grams. The object is sub spherical in form and cross section and represents a human head with a flat angular chin and underside, with a circular cross sectioned shaft emerging from this base. It has a face formed in relief with rather triangular eyes, projecting nose and hint of a mouth. It is wearing a crested cap or helmet with raised linear ridges running down each side and converging at the base, below the end of the crest.

The object consists of a central openwork lozengiform, each portion having a triangular cross section. Early medieval copper alloy mount, 28mm long, 25mm wide and 2.5 mm thick with a weight of 9grams. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and has a raised double linear border. There is a central raised rectangle c.5mm in width. This is surrounded by Salin style I decoration, possibly showing two beasts? The surface is encrusted but may have originally been gilded. The reverse is plain except for a small central circular rivet hole, which would have held an additional central piece on to the front. It is decorated on one side with three stamped? ring and dot motifs, one in each corner. The reverse has a small concretion attached to one corner which may be disguising a fitting of some sort.

It is in the form of a lions head sitting on a flat backplate, which has a rounded lower and upper edge with fairly straight sides with a semi-circular cut out at ecah side near the top. This suggests possibly attachments. The lions head is realistically depicted, but fairly worn and is gilded in places.
