Roman copper alloy mount, 10mm in length, 6mm wide, mm thick with a weight of 1.30g. The object consists of a flat oval plate with a raised lip on each side. One surface has what appears to be deliberate scratching on one surface. The purpose of these objects is currently unknown, but it is very similar to another from this site - LEIC-E75A75 and three have also been recorded at the Roman temple site at Bosworth, Leics. ( LEIC-F0418E, LEIC-F00557 and LEIC-340BFE) which suggests they have a ritual purpose.

It has a raised plain lip, c.1.5mm wide, then a flat recessed field with traces of enamel in patches. inside this is a thin raised lip which houses a circular field of debased millefiori, consisting of a red field with eleven sub rectangular patches of (originally) nine blue and white alternate rods, forming a flower like motif or a chequerboard. Roman copper alloy mount, possibly a strap fitting, 31mm long, 33mm high, 25mm wide (at loop) and 4mm thick (at projection) with a weight of 23.90g. The object consists of a circular cross sectioned D shaped loop which has a sub rectangular projection along its flat edge. This plate when viewed from the back has a wider lower portion and the loop merges into this. Above the loop is a slight horizontal step and the remainder of the plate forms the body of a horse. Medieval or Post Medieval copper alloy mount? 49mm in length, 48mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 39.63g. The object consists of a rectangular (rhomboid) plate which is attached to a hollow circular cross sectioned shaft, 9 mm in diameter. The surface of the mount is decorated with an embossed S shaped motif, possibly a swan or griffin? in an incised border. The plate has a small sub rectangular cut out on its upper edge nearest the shaft. The shaft also appears to be incomplete at both ends, making a function harder to determine.

Roman copper alloy mount fragment, 19 mm in length, 8 mm wide and 3 mm thick with a weight of 0.85g. The object is sub-rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a flat plate with a slightly triangular terminal which has millefiori inlay consisting of five repeating flower-like motifs in a square field of alternate red, white and blue. This sits in a narrow flat border then the object before turns at right angles to form incomplete sides. The object is incomplete at one short end and its sides appear damaged. The object may be part of a decorative mount or similar.

Roman or Medieval? copper alloy object, Length: 23 mm, width: 8 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 0.8 g. The object is incomplete and consists of an integral circular suspension loop sitting at the apex of a sub triangular plate. This curves slightly and it may be the top of an elongated medieval harness pendant or perhaps part of Roman toilet implement. The objects surface is very corroded and it is hard to place.

It has a patch of iron staining near one edge, where it also projects upwards the most. The opposite side of this also has a large patch of iron attached. The upper rounded surface appears to be decorated with incised curved lines, possibly concentric circles? Given its locaton the object could be of Roman date, but no pararllels have been identified.

Undated copper alloy mount. Length 42mm, width 33mm, thickness 10mm, weight 36.59grams. The object is some sort of mount or decorative fitting in the form of a bunch of grapes and flowers? It is roughly triangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It consists of two bunches of grapes sitting on a swag? with two central circular motifs suggesting flowers. The reverse of the object seems to represent two vine leaves, one with a shaft emerging from its base? and has incised 'veins' with a central triangular 'prong'.
