Early Medieval copper alloy Byzantine follis, probably of Constans II, AD 641-668?, possibly dating to c. AD 641-50. Probably Mint of Constantinople. The obverse shows the emperor facing holding a long cross (or similar) and a cross on globe. The reverse is probably a large M, traces of which might be visible. The coin is probably an overstrike on a very crudely cut flan and is worn. W. Hahn, Moneta Imperii Byzantini Vol III (Vienna 1981), pl. 28, cf. 162ff.
