Medieval silver annular brooch fragment, 25mm long, 5mm wide and 0.5mm thick with a weight of 0.68g. The object consists of about half a brooch with a partial pin bar, 3mm long and 1.25mm wide, emerging from one end. It has a semi-circular form and a rectangular cross section. It is decorated on one surface with an outer rope like border, made up of diagonal incisions. Beyond this is an incised border which runs along to the edge housing the pin bar and continues down that straight edge and around the inner edge. The object is worn and incomplete and consists of sub rectangular shaped, curved open wings, now missing the sping and pin. Roman copper alloy knee brooch, 30mm in length and 18mm wide, with a weight of 8.27grams. The object is almost intact, missing its catchplate. It consists of a sub semi-circular flat headplate, decorated with an upper and lower outer border of crescent shaped stamps. Behind this on a semi-circular lug, sits an intact spring of 9 coils with an arched projection and pin. The bow has a D shaped cross section and begins with a slight raised collar. It curves and widens forming the 'knee' before tapering in width and then widening out to a splayed foot.

It has a narrow rectangular recess with a small pin bar sraddling the void. One face appears plain with the exception of possible ridges? running its circumference.
