Medieval silver gilt annular brooch fragment, 21mm long, 5mm wide and thick and weighing 1.61grams.
The object forms about a third of the brooch, which has a D shaped cross section and is curved. It has a flat, slightly concave, underside with a slightly projecting crimped? edge. Its rounded upper surface is decorated with alternate raised oval collets filled with white fixing paste and rounded projections decorated all over with circular overlapping stamps. At one end the brooch is intact and houses part of a narrow rectangular projection, which would have housed the pin.

The brooch is circular in in form and cross section and is decorated with four quatrefoil, petalled applied motifs at cardinal points, which have traces of gilding. The pin is missing.

The object is circular in form and sub rectangular in cross section. It consists of two circular loops with a circular cross section, that sit above one another and have been joined together at their cardinal points. When viewed from the side this creates four oval loops.

The object consists of about half a brooch with a partial pin bar, 3mm long and 1.25mm wide, emerging from one end. It has a semi-circular form and a rectangular cross section. It is decorated on one surface with an outer rope like border, made up of diagonal incisions. The brooch is circular in form and D shaped in cross section. The brooch has a triangular shaped projecting pin rest with a raised, rouned upper surface, sitting in front of a V shaped notch in the brooches inner edge. It has a corresponding pin recess opposite, but this is only present on its outer edge. A medieval copper-alloy annular brooch, dating to c.AD 1200 - 1400. The brooch is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has a narrow rectangular recess with a small pin bar sraddling the void. One face appears plain with the exception of possible ridges? running its circumference. The other side is worn but appears to be inscribed with several words.

It has a tapering pin which is attached by an integral loop, wrapped around a small recess on the brooches surface. One half of the brooch is decorated, starting from the pin recess. Medieval? copper alloy annular brooch, 23mm in diameter, 3mm thick and weighing 4.75grams. The object consists of a circular cross sectioned plain loop which was found with a partial pin? formed of a D cross sectioned strip that has been twisted around itself and is now incomplete. Presumably this would have terminated in a loop at one end to secure it to the brooch? It is possible that the object had some other, unknwon function.

Medieval copper alloy annular brooch, 32mm in diameter, 4mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 10.10g. The object is circular, with a broad band and a flat rectangular cross-section. It has a very short and narrow recess to hold the pin, now missing, and has a Latin inscription in poorly executed black-letter script on one face. The letters are divided into four evenly spaced groups within a well-made incised border which runs just inside either edge. The inscription reads 'ihc naza renus rex' (Jesus of Nazareth King).

Medieval silver annular brooch , 24mm in diameter 2mm thick and weighing 2.66grams.
The brooch is complete and consists of a plain circular band with a trapezoidal cross section. Its upper surface has a narrow flat inner section which then drops downwards and outwards to a flat base. The pin is held with a recessed bar which sits between two raised collars, running across the band. The pin is complete and is plain with a bevelled upper edge, giving it a sub-rectangular cross section. It tapers to a point which rests on the upper surface of the brooch.

The upper surface is decorated with a series of stamped circles running along a central 'ridge'. It has 2 opposing circlular raised settings which contain a white paste liek material. The brooch has a recessed pin fitting which corresponds to a slightly raised and projecting pin rest on teh opposite edge. It is similar to fig 160, object 1309 In Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories.

It is circular in form and triangular in cross section, consisting of an openwork loop with a bevelled lower surface. The brooch has six raised, evenly spaced, circular settings for stones or enamel, which are now empty. There is a circular hole in the loop which houses part of a circular sectioned pin whose end is folded over to secure it in place.

The brooch is circular in form, consisting of a circular cross-sectioned loop. It has an intact tapering pin bar which has a raised rounded collar and is attached by being folded around the loop. Despite its condition traces of gilding can be seen on its surface.
