It has a sub rectangular plain shaft for two-thirds of its length. It then widens out and narrows in thickness to form a sub triangular terminal which is decorated with raised cross hatched lines contained in a raised border which is rounded on the shaft.

This is in a double circular border with a series of transverse dashes filling the space between the first border and the second. The inscription around the edge reads +S' [h]ENRIC-I].MOLENDINA The second and third Ns are retrograde.

Late medieval lead alloy button, 5mm thick and 30mm in diameter with a weight of 28.87g. The button is circular in form and D shaped in cross section, its flat reverse has a casting ridge with a flattened integral suspension loop. Its surface has a slight raised border and is covered in semi-spherical decoration, a large central one flanked by a circle of seven small ones, then a circle of seven larger ones interspersed with small ones in between.
