A copper alloy hinged bow and fantail brooch of 1st to 2nd century AD date. The bow is plane, the sub-triangular fantail at the foot is decorated with a raised scroll motif containing traces of blue and red enamel. There is a damaged loop on the head. Roman copper alloy Colchester one-piece brooch, 58mm long, 21mm wide and 10mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 12.77grams. The brooch consists of a narrow rectangular bar which holds a spring of seven coils. This sits on top of a circular sectioned bow which tapers in width to a point. The brooch has part of an openwork catchplate c.20mm long. The brooch is similar to eg 1455, fig 156 in Hattatt, R. A visual catalogue of ancient brooches.

Roman silver finger ring fragment, 20mm long and 7mm wide. The object weighs 0.86grams and is in fair condition. The ring consists of a circular raised bezel which is flanked by two sub triangular shoulders which have an incised border running up to the circle. The shape roughly fits Henig type VIII. There is a small circular depression in the centre of the bezel which is surrounded by linear scratches which appear to be damage

Roman copper alloy headstud brooch, 43mm long, 16mm wide and 17mm deep. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 8.6grams. It is mising its pin but some of the uncoiled spring was retrieved with the item. It consists of short rectangular wings with stepped vertical lines which sit beside a rectangular sectioned bow. This is decorated with a riase circular stud which sits above a row of rectangular enamel cells with traces of red enamel. This sits above a stepped foot and in front of a triangular catchplate.

Roman copper alloy tripod leg, 46mm long, 11mm wide and 10 mm thick and weighing 9.82grams. The object consists of a circular sectioned shaft which is decorated with a protruding lions head about a third of the way down. Beneath this the shaft forms a bow (to represent the animals body?) and then continues for a few millimetres as a circular shaft again. Sitting above this shaft is a thin circular disc, with a sphere on top. The sphere has a rectangular sectioned slit cut through it, running left to right when viewed face on. The object is part of a tripod support.
