Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch. 32mm in length and 15mm in width. It weighs 3.09g. The brooch has a roughly oval shaped head with a flat area behind to house a spring, now missing. The circular cross sectioned bow emerges from the front of the head and curves around, tapering in width. Below the point it has curved is a stylised 'acanthus scroll' decoration consisting of three rounded projections, the central one larger. Below this the plain bow continues to taper and has broken before the catch plate emerges.

Three Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, hinged type brooch fragments, dating from the period AD 50-100. All of these brooch fragments have short projecting circular cross sectioned wings with hinges. All are partial, with the D shaped cross sectioned bows of each missing their ends. One of the brooch fragments has the remnants of a pin on the back, and the other has a ridge running down the length of the bow. It appears to be the tip of a human finger or toe with an upwards turning terminal with an incised finger/toe nail. Given its size it must be a fragment of a large, almost life size statue.

It has a circular shaped and D cross sectioned head which houses a spring of 3 coils. The bow emerges from this and has a D shaped cross section, widening out to accommodate a double raised collar. Roman copper alloy fibula type bow brooch, 22mm in length, and 21mm wide with a weight of 4.42g. The brooch consists of solid, circular cross sectioned wings which house a recess for a hinged pin. The bow is D shaped in cross section and is slightly swollen at its shoulder, but otherwise plain. The catchplate is missing.
