Roman copper alloy mount, 10mm in length, 6mm wide, mm thick with a weight of 1.30g. The object consists of a flat oval plate with a raised lip on each side. One surface has what appears to be deliberate scratching on one surface. The purpose of these objects is currently unknown, but it is very similar to another from this site - LEIC-E75A75 and three have also been recorded at the Roman temple site at Bosworth, Leics. ( LEIC-F0418E, LEIC-F00557 and LEIC-340BFE) which suggests they have a ritual purpose.

It has a raised plain lip, c.1.5mm wide, then a flat recessed field with traces of enamel in patches. inside this is a thin raised lip which houses a circular field of debased millefiori, consisting of a red field with eleven sub rectangular patches of (originally) nine blue and white alternate rods, forming a flower like motif or a chequerboard. The object consists of a circular cross sectioned D shaped loop which has a sub rectangular projection along its flat edge. This plate when viewed from the back has a wider lower portion and the loop merges into this. Above the loop is a slight horizontal step and the remainder of the plate forms the body of a horse. Roman copper alloy mount fragment, 19 mm in length, 8 mm wide and 3 mm thick with a weight of 0.85g. The object is sub-rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a flat plate with a slightly triangular terminal which has millefiori inlay consisting of five repeating flower-like motifs in a square field of alternate red, white and blue. This sits in a narrow flat border then the object before turns at right angles to form incomplete sides. The object is incomplete at one short end and its sides appear damaged. The object may be part of a decorative mount or similar.

The object is sub spherical in form and cross section and represents a human head with a flat angular chin and underside, with a circular cross sectioned shaft emerging from this base. It has a face formed in relief with rather triangular eyes, projecting nose and hint of a mouth. It is wearing a crested cap or helmet with raised linear ridges running down each side and converging at the base, below the end of the crest.
