Neolithic polished hand axe, 80mm long, 45mm wide and 20mm thick. The axe is a grey/green fine stone, which is probably from Langdale and it weighs 104 grams. The object represents the central part of a partly polished axe, each end is missing. The edges have been very neatly flattened into tapering facets and the axe shows scars possibly caused by re-shaping in antiquity.
