Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, Thickness: 8 mm, diameter: 31 mm, internal diameter: 9 mm, weight: 48.07 g The object is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has a central hole, 9mm in diameter and one one face has a slight linear indentation to one side (right image as shown), suggesting a cross bar to hold a shaft in place. This would confirm its use as a spindle whorl. It has no decoration and it fits Walton Rogers form B.
