Early Medieval lead alloy gaming piece, Length: 17 mm, diameter: 18 mm, weight: 25.17 grams.
The object has a cylindrical form and a circular cross section, with a rounded upper surface. It has six upright rounded ridges running up its sides, which converge over its apex. When viewed from the side two of these ridges are joined by a centrally placed vertical ridge (shown on the central image) . Gaming pieces with six ridges are uncommon, with four being usual , see e.g. SF-735931.

Early Medieval (Scandinavian) lead alloy gaming piece dating from AD 850-1100, 20mm in length, 17mm in diameter with a weight of 15.98grams.
The object is sub rectangular in form and circular in cross section. It has three slight rounded ridges running up its sides, which terminate in tapering rounded projections on its domed upper surface, which 'lean' in towards each other. It has a hollow underside and its walls are 2mm thick.

Early medieval lead alloy gaming piece, dating to 800-1000. The object has a circular cross section and rectangular form with flat upper surface and tapering sides. See LEIC-07629A, NCL-FBC856 and SWYOR-13C8D1 Similar sized and shaped objects but made from chalk were recovered from Anglo-Scandinavian building contexts in York and have been identified as Hnefatafl pieces (Mainman and Rodgers, 2000).
Height: 14 mm, diameter: 19 mm, diameter at upper edge 13 mm, weight: 23.84 g.

Early Medieval (Scandinavian?) lead alloy gaming piece, 37mm in length, and 24mm diameter with a weight of 94.25grams. The object is sub-rectangular in cross section and form and is decorated with four or five, rectangular cross sectioned, raised lines running its length, some of which terminate in slight projections, a feature common on most gaming pieces. It has an unusual recessed base with ridged concentric circles sitting 7mm inside its base.

It has a roughly cast surface and has a hollow underside. The object is similar to LEIC-3BDFB5 and FAKL-CEFD68. Many others with this form have been found in at the 'Viking winter camp' site at Torksey.

Early medieval lead alloy gaming piece, 16mm high and 18mm wide with a weight of 21.47 grams. The object is conical in form and crudely cast. It has a deep incised cross on its upper surface, which may be a crude imitation of other pieces; Either its attempting to represent a cast raised cross or form 'turrets' as seen on other examples.
Gaming pieces of this type are Viking or Anglo-Scandinavian in culture and this item is therefore dated AD. c.850-1100

Early Medieval lead alloy gaming piece, 19mm high, 20mm wide and 18mm thick. The object is in good condition, but is roughly cast, and weighs 32.87grams. The object is solid, sub rectangular in section and form with a domed upper surface. At each of its 'corners' it has a raised ridge running to meet each the others at the apex of the dome. Where they join there is a rounded pellet. The object probably dates to the Anglo-Scandinavian period.

The object is circular at its base and domed, it has an uneven lower edge and is largely hollow inside. It is very similar in form to late Early Medieval (Scandinavian) gaming pieces, but it could be a crude weight.

Early Medieval (Scandinavian) lead alloy gaming piece (or weight), 17mm high and 18mm in diameter. The object is in fair condition and weighs 14.09grams. The object has a circular section, is hollow and is domed, (it resembles a thimble). It has no visible markings.
It is similar in form and material to others found in large numbers at the 'winter camp' site at Torksey in Lincolnshire. It is thought that they are gaming pieces, but they may also be weights. see also WAW-7A7653 illustrated as gaming pieces in plate 3, Hadley, D. and Richards, J. MSRG Vol 33.

Early Medieval lead alloy gaming piece, 22mm high and 15mm in diameter. The object is in fair condition and weighs 19.30grams. The object consists of a tapering hollow cylinder with a triangular section. It has four circular sectioned protrusions of varying height on its upper surface, giving the appearance of turrets.
This object is a Viking gaming piece and was found alongside LEIC-3BDFB5. Pieces like this are common at the nearby winter camp site at Torksey

Early Medieval lead alloy gaming pieces, 15mm high and 21mm in diameter. The objects are in fair condition and weigh 12.27 and 17.19 grams. They consist of roughly cast hollow domes which have an incised line running around their circumference mid way up. The heavier of the two has the more obvious line.
These objects were found alongside LEIC-3BFC12, which is probably a Viking gaming piece. Similar items to these have been found in large numbers at the winter camp site at Torksey.

Early Medieval (Scandinavian) lead alloy gaming piece 17 mm high and 11mm in diameter at its base. The object is in fair condition and weighs 6.94grams. The object is circular in section and tapers slightly, being 7mm in diameter around its top. This is decorated with four sub spherical knops. The object is probably a viking period gaming piece, similar shaped objects were found in large numbers at the winter camp site at Torksey. See fig. 3, Hadley, D. and Richards, J. MSRG Vol 33.

Bone counter or gaming piece, 18mm in diameter and 10mm high at widest part. The object is circular and has a faint and roughly fashioned recessed edge. viewed from the side it is wedge shaped, though this appears to be a result of its rough manufacture, rather than a deliberate action. The piece could be Anglo-saxon as bone was commonly used for gaming pieces.
