Symetrical bar shaped copper alloy object with plain underside. Upper surface has 2 raised central lines. Each end terminates in a blunt point with a curved, rounded projection on one side. Similar to part of a large buckle, but the object appears to be complete. It is in fair condition, is 63mm long, 15mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 8.02g.

Undated copper alloy buckle or strap end/mount, 40mm long, 30mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 24.25grams. The object consists of a D shaped frame with rounded underside and flat upper surface. It has two sub rectangular raised borders which run from the recessed circular sectioned bar on the flat edge; to the centre of the rounded portion, leaving a small central flat surface resembling a pin rest. Inside these borders the surface is decorated with a series of raised open circles.

Late Roman copper alloy buckle, 25mm long and wide and 3mm thick. The buckle is in good condition, despite damage, has a green patina and weighs 4.79 grams. The buckle is D shaped and its curved part is made up of two stylised dolphins which are joined at the 'lips' as though kissing. Above these are two projecting horses heads with rather beak like muzzles, facing outwards. They have stamped circular eyes and a linear incision forming their mouths. Roman copper alloy buckle fragment, 36mm long, 24mm wide and 5mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a blackish/blue patina and weighs 12.29 grams. The object is oval in form with a sub-triangular section. In form it consists of a shallow curve which has wide terminals that fold back on themselves. These terminals widen out gradually and are very plain with an incised line running parallel to their rectangular edge. They have a small sub rectangular protrusions on their outer or upper edge. Late Roman copper alloy belt buckle, 27mm long, 3.5mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 3.78grams. The object consists of a curved loop formed of two dolphin heads, with heads facing each other, their mouths forming the pin rest. The dolphins have raised rounded areas for heads with an incised circular eye. The horse heads emerge from the top of the dolphin heads and face outwards. The horses are plainly decorated with a series of short lines forming the mane and small dot and ring incised eyes. The decoration is very similar to Appels & Laycock, p210. figure SL8.19a.

The object consists of a rectangular open frame which has slight rectangular projections (one missing) at each corner, The lower projection has a circular depression in its centre, which was presumably echoed in its the now missing pair. Late Roman copper alloy dolphin type buckle plate, 45mm long, 26mm wide and 6mm thick and weighing 14.555grams.
The object is rectangular in form and section and consists of an openwork buckle plate, in two pieces, with part of a buckle loop attached. The plate has four rectangular holes arranged centrally with 4 attachment rivets, two at each side, one flanking each hole. Each corner has a flat circular knop protruding from it. The buckle end has two rectangular loops emerging from it which still hold part of the buckle loop.

Incomplete Roman copper-alloy buckle pin, 26mm long, 23mm wide and 3mm deep. The object consists of a sub-rectangular sectioned bar which has two curved arms protruding from the centre, one from each side . Where the four arms meet there is a recessed circle with two concentric raised circles inside; this could alternatively be described as a ring-and-dot motif with two grooved concentric circles around a central dot.

The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section. It consists of a D shaped buckle frame which is decorated with two outwards facing horses heads. These are C shaped with curved necks, sub triangular heads and small rounded projections for ears. Below the ears are dot in circle stamped eyes. Post Medieval copper alloy buckle, 51mm long, 37mm wide and 2.5mm thick. The object is in good condition with agreen patina and weighs 12.12grams. The buckle is rectangular in form and section. It has flat circular protrusions at each corner and has three pronged, fleuer like, protrusions in the centre of each edge. There is an integral semi-circular sectioned pin bar in the centre and the pin rest is marked out with an incised line. The buckle dates to 1620-80 and matches fig. 529 in 'Buckles 1250-1800' by Whitehead, R.

Post medieval copper alloy buckle, 37mm long, 12mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 3.51grams. The object is oval in form and rectangular in section. There is an integral pin running across the centre of the oval loop and at one end there is a triangular shaped protrusion which has punched linear decoration. There is the base of a protrusion at the opposite side, suggesting this is a bird buckle and the triangle represents a tail (see No 275, P.48 in Whiteheads buckles 1250-1800).

Post Medieval copper alloy and silver shoe buckle, 24mm long, 20mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 4.35 grams. The buckle is missing half of its loop and consists of a trapezoidal shaped loop which has three semi-circular protrusions on its outer edges. These are cut through by a linear incision running the length of the buckle. The tapering pin is intact and has a semi-circular section and is attached to the pin bar by being bent around it. The whole object is covered in traces of silver.
