Iron age or Roman cosmetic mortar, 35mm long, 12mm high and 11mm wide with a weight of 6.1 grams. Most of the object survives and has a slightly curving upper surface which is a U shaped hollow underneath. The centre of the upper side contains the fixing points of a wide suspension loop. One side survives to its original height and is decorated with a row of three chevron stamps along the upper portion of the side. The stamps on the other side, which is broken, are still visible although most of the third is missing. The object is in fair condition and has a greenish/brown patina.

Iron age copper alloy mortar, 67mm long, 11mm wide and 11mm thick with a weight of 30.02 grams. The object has a dark brown patina and is missing some of its surface. It is crescentic in form, being 11mm wide in the centre and tapering to a point at each end, 4mm thick. It has a central void with a curved base to accomodate the 'pestle' and has a central suspension loop, 14mm wide and 4mm in diameter which is missing its upper part. There is no decoration visible.

Late Iron age / Roman copper alloy end looped plain mortar, 74mm long, 16mm wide and 11mm thick. The object is in fair condition, having some corrosion and damage to its edges, and weighs 16.82grams. The mortar consists of a proportionally large, circular cross-sectioned circular loop which folds into the main body of the mortar. The body is plain and is an elongated oval in form, with a gently curved profile. It has a U shaped cross section and it narrows to a shallow point at its end. Late Iron age to Roman copper alloy cosmetic grinder, 63mm in length, 9mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 19.96grams. The object has a sub rectangular cross section and a cresecentric form. It has an integral, circular cross sectioned end loop at one edge. The central curved portion which emerges from the loop is roughly cast with a flat upper surface and is solid for a short section. It then has a recess which has a U shaped cross section and an elongated oval form. The object terminates in a solid rounded point.

Iron age - Roman copper alloy cosmetic mortar fragment, 17mm long, 13mm wide and 11mm thick with a weight of 9.87g. The mortar is crescentric in form and semi-circular in cross section with a slightly hollow upper surface. It is extremely worn and corroded and has no diagnostic features except for partial central suspension loop on its curved face.
