Late Iron age to Roman copper alloy cosmetic grinder, 63mm in length, 9mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 19.96grams. The object has a sub rectangular cross section and a cresecentric form. It has an integral, circular cross sectioned end loop at one edge. The central curved portion which emerges from the loop is roughly cast with a flat upper surface and is solid for a short section. It then has a recess which has a U shaped cross section and an elongated oval form. The object terminates in a solid rounded point.
