Late Medieval or Early Post Medieval silver gilt finger ring, 24mm in diameter, 7mm wide and 1.5mm thick with a weight of 5.61grams.
The finger ring is formed of a flat band with a rectangular cross section and it has a gap in its loop, probably where the solder has failed. It is decorated on the outside with a raised border. Inside this are two zig-zag incised lines which form a series of central 'diamond' cells flanked by triangular ones filling the rest of the field. Addenda of copper-alloy 60 coins / coin fragments to 2003 T393.This moderately sized radiate hoard runs up to the reign of Probus but mostly contains the heavily debased pre-Aurelianic radiates of the AD 260s onwards. Condition of preservation is generally very poor with a large number of unidentifiable or part-identifiable coins and no images were taken.
Original find: although declared treasure, no museum was able to acquire and it was returned to the landowner.

Roman copper alloy and intaglio finger ring, 20mm wide and 20mm deep. The ring is in fair condition with some corrosion and weighs 2.58 grams. The ring consits of a tapering band, 8mm at its widest and about 4mm at its thinest, which has slightly triangular shoulders. The intaglio is 8.5mm long, 6mm wide and at least 2mm thick. It is a dark red or black stone and contains a carved image of a bird? which is possibly the imperial eagle.

Possible Roman ceramic oil lamp c. 90mm long. The lamp is circular in form and sub circular in cross section. It has a small sub- triangular shaped spout like projection at one side with a circular hole in its upper surface and on the opposite side is a solid semi-circular handle. The coins are in variable condition but most are worn, with loss of their edges and consequently of low weight, though they appear from their size to be sestertii. They appear to be a group of Antonine coins (dated to AD 168‒9 or later) with one exception, a third century sestertius of the emperor Postumus. Late Bronze Age copper alloy tongue-shaped chape, 39mm in length, 16mm wide, 6mm thick with a weight of 8.71g.
The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and represents the lower part of a scabbard chape. It has a rounded , swollen lower edge and its only decoration is a central linear ridge running up each face and terminating in a horizontal projection running along its base. Its upper edge is very damaged and in places it is very thin.

The mount is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. The object depicts a winged lion in gilded high relief standing on a flat object probably a gospel? The wings are cross hatched, as is the lions chest, and its tail? crosses between its hind legs and over its back. The mount has several circular holes, a large one under the lions body, one either side of its head, two under its backlegs and two in front of its chest. The reverse houses a central circular prong, 3mm in diameter and 4mm long.

This widens out to accommodate an oval bezel, marked by an incised border. Medieval copper alloy annular brooch, 32mm in diameter, 4mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 10.10g. The object is circular, with a broad band and a flat rectangular cross-section. It has a very short and narrow recess to hold the pin, now missing, and has a Latin inscription in poorly executed black-letter script on one face. The letters are divided into four evenly spaced groups within a well-made incised border which runs just inside either edge. The inscription reads 'ihc naza renus rex' (Jesus of Nazareth King).

The object may be a male finger ring. It was found in a concentration of Roman material whose make up suggests a newly discovered temple site.

The blade has a 2mm wide point and is sub triangular in form, having long tapering edges which terminate in a shallow curve. It has a thin mid rib which widens to a 14mm diameter at the start of the shaft, terminating at 20mm at its base, some of which is missing. The shaft holds two lozingiform rectangular sectioned loops, 13mm long which sit very close to the surface. The object is in fair condition, with some corrosion and is missing parts of its original surface.

Bronze age spearhead fragment, 52 mm length, 26 mm width, 11 mm thickness, weight 23.69 g. The object represents the tip of a larger spearhead and is triangular in form and 'lozenge' shaped in cross section. It has a distinct rounded ridge running down the centre of each face and it narrows from 11mm thick to 4mm thick at the tip. Its edges are damaged and some of the orginal surface has been lost. The object is probably middle Bronze Age in date, c. 1500 - 1300 BC

Bronze age copper alloy spear head fragment, probably from the middle bronze age (1500BC to 1150BC), 37mm long, 10mm wide and 7mm thick with a weight of 5.63grams. The object is triangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It represents the tip of a spear head, with a rounded terminal intact. It has a prominent tapering, rounded ridge running its length and two damaged edges forming the inside of the blade section.

Late Roman Copper alloy 'votive' spearhead, 82mm long, 26mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 28.23grams. The object has a leaf shaped flat blade, 45mm long, which is damaged and missing its tip (it is 17mm wide at this point). Medieval silver mount, Length: 14 mm, width: 10 mm, thickness: 1 mm, weight: 0.95 grams.
The object is sub circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It is in the form of a capital letter G in the Gothic type with a flared terminal. It has two circular cross sectioned rivets attached to the centre of its reverse and these have a spiralled incision to aid purchase and slightly flared ends.
Lloyd De Beer has dated this item to the 14th or 15th century.

A Late Medieval copper alloy purse bar fragment, dating to c.AD 1450 -1550. 67mm in length, 9mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 16.83g.
The object is rectangular in form and sub rectangular in cross section and represents about one half of a complete bar. Its complete end has a stepped rounded terminal 7mm in diameter and 7-8mm wide. From here the bar is flatter and bows slightly outwards in the centre. It has two semi-circular flat projections on its underside, 5mm wide, which have circular holes for sewing on the purse body. The object has broken at the opposite end.

Roman copper alloy figurative object, perhaps a steelyard weight, 62mm long, 42mm wide and 25 mm thick. The object is in fair condition, being very worn, with a green patina and weighs 144g. Gold 15th-century posy ring, 18mm in diameter, with a hoop of consistent width throughout. The exterior surface is decorated with an unbroken groove running along the upper and lower edge, with floral sprays engraved into its surface in between. Punctuating the decoration are three black-letter words. One is easy to read, 'a'; another may be 'ma'; the third appears to be 'vie' which would read 'a ma vie' (to my life, or [he/she] has my life).

The object is made from silver sheet, and consists of an oval plate which has four circular holes in a row along its outer edge. Medieval gold finger ring with iron setting.
The hoop is triangular in section and is crudely engraved with letters. A small cross has been punched into the hoop at its narrowest point, opposite the bezel. The inscription occupies the two registers of the ring formed by its triangular section. It is difficult to decipher but may be amuletic in character.
The bezel is rectangular with crimped egdes filled with iron stone. This is flanked by short hexagonal sectioned shafts which run into rectangular shaped shoulders. These are decorated with what appears to be zoomorphic, lion head.

Bronze age copper alloy axe tip, 60mm long, 24mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 37.48grams. The axe has a rounded edge which is 1mm thick and is still sharp. behind the blade the axe widens sharply and quickly becomes rectangular in section, with a rectangular recess. Its sides taper in sharply, one side has an inwards curve whilst the other turns sharply inwards, creating a narrow triangular protrusion. Its hard to say whether this is original or is damage?

Early Bronze age flat axehead, 63mm long, 57mm wide and 10mm thick (at butt). The axe is in fair condition with a green patin and weighs 65grams. The axe has a rectangular section and it starts 10mm thick but gradually thins to the blades thickness of just over 1mm (which is surprisingly well preserved, almost sharp). The axes sides taper very gently outwards until about two thirds of the way down its length, where the blade splays outwards about 15mm on each side, forming a triangular protrusion.
