Roman copper alloy figurine fragment, 32mm long, 21mm wide and 18mm thick with a weight of 36.44g. The fragment consists of a male bust with curled hair wearing a phrygian cap. The cap is sub conical and is heavily gilded in patches. There is a slight depression in its upper surface which may suggest an iron loop and its use as a suspended weight? or it may be evidence for its casting? Roman to early Medieval lead alloy vat 320mm in length 250mm in wide and 130mm high. The object is circular in form and appears to be sub oval in cross section, but it is very distorted. It has a solid triangular cross sectioned rim, aligned so that it has a flat upper surface. This is 11mm wide and tapers into the body below around 10mm from the upper edge. Medieval silver annular brooch , 24mm in diameter 2mm thick and weighing 2.66grams. The brooch is complete and consists of a plain circular band with a trapezoidal cross section. Its upper surface has a narrow flat inner section which then drops downwards and outwards to a flat base. Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 21mm in diameter, 2mm thick and weighing 4.37g. The object consists of a short hexagonal tapering shaft with a double collar sitting below a large integral suspension loop, which is filled with iron corrosion. The shaft terminates in a shield shaped matrix, 13 x 14mm. This depicts Mary suckling Jesus, its edges are worn so the inscription is hard to read, possibly reads RO----EDIV The form is similar to SF-79CCC7 LEIC-55B0CC SUR-EA3B3B, though none of these have a religious image.
