Post Medieval gold vinaigrette, 22mm in diameter , 4mm thick and weighing 3.71grams. The object is circular in form and ovoid in cross section and is formed of two parts hinged together like a locket, with an attached suspension loop. The front of the object has a border decorated with raised flower and foliage motifs, some of teh flowers are picked out in red gold. This surrounds a central circular plate which has a recessed border and contains concentric lines of triangular projections.
