Early post Medieval copper alloy dagger guard fragment, 9mm in length, 19mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 10.44grams. The object is a fragmentary projection from a sword guard and consists of an incomplete rectangular platform from which emerges a flat rectangular cross sectioned shaft which widens out to form a flared plate with a curved edge. It is very similar to SF9617

Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver gilt sword pommel cap, 53mm long, 20mm high and 16mm wide, with a weight of 20.1g. The pommel cap is pyramidal in form, a shape widely referred to as 'cocked hat' in academic literature. It has two broad faces (front and back) and two 'shoulders' which curve downwards from the peak to a straight terminal. Medieval copper alloy sword pommel. The object is circular in form and has a sub rectangular section, formed of three sections of equal width. The central section is flat, 12-15mm wide, and contains two rectangular holes, one measures 22 x 10mm and the other smaller one on th eopposite side measures 10 x 5 mm. The outer sections tapers steeply inwards terminating to form a small flat circle c. 30mm in diameter on each face of the pommel which is undecorated. Pommels of this type are known from the13th and 14th century see NMS-4A5313 for a very similar example.

It has a curved upper surface which has a central domed area which is flanked by two sub triangular areas of filigree running to each end. These are formed of a rope like border which contains seven twisted wires. It is decorated on two sides with a filigree interlace formed of twisted wire flanked by smaller twisted wire borders. Bronze age copper alloy sword fragment, 33mm long, 27mm wide and 4 mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs ?? The object is sub triangular in form and is slighly rhomboid in section. each side tapers inwards slightly and tapers in width to a blade edge. Above this the object has a recessed sub-rectangular protrusion, the lower edges of which are formed by the incomplete circular fixing holes which would have secured the blade to its handle. The size of the object suggests it is a fragment of a Ewart Park phase sword.

The object is roughly circular in form and lentoid in section. It has a smooth plain surface and has two rectangular holes, one smaller than the other, to accomodate the tang.
