Undated copper alloy stud. 12mm thick and 20mm in diameter with a weight of 8.97grams. The stud is circular in form and semi-circular in cross section, with a projecting shaft. Its upper surface has a flat border 6mm wide, decorated with a slight step c. 1mm in. Inside this is a solid domed centre 6mm high. The underside of this section is flat and houses a circular cross sectioned shaft, 4mm in diameter and 3mm long, which terminates in a wide flat collar.

The surface is decorated with a beast in relief, which was once filled with red enamel. It appears to be a dragon or a wyvern and is facing left (as shown) with two legs/arms, with curved projections along their lower edge (representing fur?) pointing left and terminating in three claws. Medieval copper alloy belt stud, dating to c.1200-1400, Length: 16 mm, diameter: 18 mm, weight: 2.79 g. The object is circular in form and semi-circular in cross section. It has a domed upper surface which is formed of five petal like sections, divided by an incised line and with a triangular projection. There is s central shaft below which has been turned to fix it in place. This is still attached to a patch of leather which has been preserved as the object was recovered from a boggy area. The object is similar to NLM-7FB94A WILT-3085D1

A Roman copper-alloy bell-shaped stud, dating to AD 40 - 410. Allason-Jones type 2. 43mm in length and 23mm in diameter with a weight of 26.18grams. The object has a circular handle which has an indented upper surface with a central projecting sub spherical knop 8mm in diameter. Its sides taper inwards and sit on a rounded collar 18mmm in diameter, which sits on a rectangular cross sectioned shaft, 6mm x 8mm. The end of the shaft has a curved edge suggesting a broken end which housed a circular hole, for holding a bar or similar to fix the shaft in place.

Medieval? copper alloy decorative stud, 20mm in diameter and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 1.35grams. The object consists of a circular, slightly dished, plate which has a small rectangular sectioned shaft, 7mm long, emerging from the reverse. The surface is decorated with a central raised circle with a recess in its centre. From this raised bands radiate out and curl back on themselves, forming a circluar terminal. The object appears to be a medieval stud, though it may be later.
