Medieval copper alloy strap end, Length: 35 mm, width: 10 mm, thickness: 2 mm, weight: 2.1 grams. The object is a two part strap end and has a rectnagular from and cross section. It has tapering long edges which narrow to a rounded collar sitting above an acorn like sub spherical terminal. There is a single centrally placed rivet hole at the top and a rivet at the bottom of the plate and one surface is missing. There is no obvious decoration on the plate which is present. The object matches e.g. 607, p.131 in Egan and Prichard, Dress Accessories, which they have dated to 1350-1450.

Post Medieval silver strap end or lace tag, 29mm long and 4mm in diameter with a weight of 2.97grams. The object consists of a circular sectioned shaft which becomes rectangular in section towards one end. It has a circular hole just below its rounded end and its other end terminates in a globular attachment, 7mm in diameter. Dora Thornton has dated this item to 16-17th centuries.

Medieval? copper alloy strap end, 50mm long, 33mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in good condition and weighs 11.22grams. The object is rectangular in form and section with a small rectangular protrusion at one short end. It is made up of two plates, the front plate having central rectangular cut out, so it resembles a frame. This is decorated with raised zig-zag lines possibly set in a linear border. The small protrusion has raised linear decoration forming a rectangular box. The centre of the object holds a copper alloy rivet, suggesting that something was fitted into the void.…
