Roman to Medieval lead alloy strap end, 55 mm long, 25 mm wide and 5 mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 34.93 grams. The object represents just over half? of an amphora shaped strap end of uncertain date. It has a rectangular shaped upper portion with a slit in the slightly wider upper edge for taking the strap. It has two circular fixing holes just below the edge. Below the holes, on each side of the object, is a triangular protrusion, presumably decoration.
