Post Medieval silver spoon fragment, 153mm long, 47mm wide and weighing 42.15g. The object consists of an oval shaped, Semi-circular cross sectioned bowl which has an integral rectangular cross sectioned handle. This is incomplete and has an elongated triangular projection running along the underside of the bowl. The spoon is hallmarked with a Leopard head crowned in an oval border and a lion passant in a sub rectangular border for London, which in this form are dated to 1680-97 and a makers mark IK above a 'rose' between two pellets which is probably the one for John King who was …

Post Medieval copper alloy spoon terminal, 27mm in length, 9mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 3.84grams. The object is sub rectangular in form and oval in cross section. It is the terminal of an 'Apostle' type figurative spoon in the form of the Virgin Mary, in draped robes, holding baby Jesus. This sits on a small circular platform whose underside has the scar of the spoons shaft. There is also a casting scar along one edge of this and higher up the figure, suggesting an unfinished or poor quality example.

Early Post Medieval silver gilt baluster spoon terminal, c.20mm long and c. 14mm in diameter. The spoon has a flat circular terminal which has been engraved with the initials W C or W I? and a possible animal? motif above. Below this the spoon narrows in width to a concentric recess then widens out to a rounded band, just narrower than the terminal before tapering in again. Below this is another concentric recess and a narrow, rounded band. Below this the spoon has a swollen oval shaped profile with incised rows of dots decorating it? at which point it is broken.

Post Medieval copper alloy seal topped spoon handle, 41mm long, 4mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 5.35g. The spoon handle is incomplete, has a plain circular cross sectioned shaft which terminates in a rounded collar sitting below an oval shaped 'baluster'. This sits below a circular shaped, sub triangular cross sectioned terminal, 12mm in diameter. Similar spoon handles include IOW-A24DBE and HESH-2FD627

Post medieval pewter spoon terminal. 41mm in length and 6mm in diameter with a weight of 8.25grams. The object has a rectangular cross sectioned shaft and this has broken about half way down its length. It terminates in a double rounded collar below a spherical knop, 7.5mm in diamter which has linear depressions running its length, to a now missing terminal.

Roman copper alloy spoon, 41mm in length, 25mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 6.26grams. The object has a circular bowl with the lower part of a handle attached which has a D shpaed cross section. This is attached so the flat side butts up to the upper edge of the bowl and the rounded underside tapers into the underside of the bowl. For a better preserved example see LEIC-B44BD3.

Roman copper alloy spoon, 109mm long, 31mm wide and 14mm thick with a weight of 12.06grams. The object consists of an incomplete spoon bowl which would have had an ovoid form. Its handle is almost complete. The 'neck' joining the two parts consists of an openwork sub rectangular attachment. It emerges from just below the rim of the bowl, running outwards from it for about 10mm. This is decorated with a ring and dot depression next to the bowl, followed by a line of semi-circular stamps. Medieval or later lead alloy spoon fragment, 53mm in length, 33mm wide and 8.3mm thick with a weight of 17.79grams. The object is triangular in form and sub rectangular in cross section, It consists of a rectangular cross sectioned shaft which merge sinto a slightly rounded triangular plate, on one side the shaft continues as a slight ridge before merging into the surface and on the other the plate is concave, making it resemble the bowl of a spoon.

Post medieval copper alloy Baluster headed spoon, 156mm long, 48mm wide and 22mm thick (at bowl) with a weight of 36.32grams. The object consists of a plain shaft with a D shaped cross section, which terminates in a double raised collar sitting below a flat circular terminal. The bowl is 'pear' shaped having a rounded base and tapering sides where it joins the shaft. This is 22mm deep and 48mm wide at its widest part. It is similar in form to the silver example GLO-FE7D79 and PUBLIC-3B0748 and KENT-BF61A6 dating to1500-1650AD.
