A Roman copper alloy furniture fitting, dating to AD 43 - 402. The object is sub triangular in form, with a circular cross section. It consists of a swollen 'cone' with a raised rounded collar at its base below which sits an Iron shank. Its body tapers in width to a smaller raised collar which sits below a semi-spherical terminal knop. length: 20 mm, width: 10 mm, weight: 4.66 g. There are similar mounts with a Roman attribution recorded on the database as NMS-999FA6, SF-875A8C, HAMP-7C883B and LIN-2DD113

A fragment of a Roman copper alloy drop handle, measuring 37mm long, 30mm wide and 5mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 12.14grams. The handle would have originally comprised two opposing stylised dolphins, perhaps with a central motif between them. This fragment consists of part of one of the dolphins. Post medieval copper alloy fitting, 30mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 5.83grams. It is circular and consists of four cherubic faces which are linked by four leaf motifs arranged around a central circular hole. The object is probably a furniture escutcheon. Medieval copper alloy fitting, 200mm long and 15mm wide. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 50.28 grams. The object consists of a large sheet of copper alloy which has been folded to strengthen it. Towards one end, 60mm in, it has two rectangular protrusions, 13mmx8mm, which are bent over at right angles to the main shaft and have small circular holes near their edge. Copper-alloy furniture mount of probable 18th-century date, 28.5mm in diameter and 7mm high. The mount is slightly domed and consists of a series of concentric circles. The first one forms a ridge around the edge; before the second line, which is 5mm in from the edge, the mount rises 4mm in height. There is another line a further 3mm in and then the surface dips slightly. From here it rises gently up to a boss 7mm in diameter which has a 2mm diameter hole in its centre. The reverse is plain and has the end of a square fixing rod 4mm wide.

Copper alloy handle, 47mm long and 17mm wide. About two thirds of its length is made up of four geometric forms one above the other, the remaining third is made up of an oblong rivet/stem. The handle begins with a circular knob which sits above a slightly wider square shape. This in turn sits above an eliptical form, which sits above a trapezodal shape which would have rested on the surface of the furniture

Fragmentary copper alloy sheet 39 x 43mm at widest part. The object has some original edge present but is so damaged it is imppossible to suggest an original shape. It does have one fixing hole present and you can just make out the shape of a keyhole on the left. Below the keyhole void is an oblong of cross hatching carved into its surface (some can just be made out above the void as well) and to the right is a triangluar shape with incised circles filling it.
