A medieval silver halfpenny of Henry VII (1485-1509), probably Withers Class 3A (North 1734), mint: London. Ref: Withers and Withers 2004: 43. The coin is very worn with much of the inscription no longer surviving and the flan is chipped. The coin was struck on a roughly oval flan.

Description: 2 late Medieval silver groats of Henry VII, 1504-07. Found 20/10/16, 27mm in diam, 2.89 grams cross and crosslets mintmark. The coin has slight damage to the edge. Findspot SK47080 00577 Found 30/10/16, 27mm in diam, 2.95 grams cross and crosslets mintmark. Findspot SK47084 00588 Discussion: Two identical coins were found 10 days apart in almost the same place, suggesting a dispersed hoard.
