Three undated stone whetstones, all are incomplete - missing their ends, have a rectangular section and rectangular form and show signs of heavy use. 1 56mm long, 11mm thick and 20mm wide, weight 32.07grams. 2 90mm long, 17mm thick and 33mm wide weight 117grams 3 90mm long, 20mm thick and 27mm wide, weight 99.3grams.

Lower Paleolithic quartzite pebble chopper-core, 78mm long, 46mm wide and 39mm thick. The stone weighs 171grams and has been worked from three angles to remove at least 9 flakes to form a triangular point which appears to have some wear. We refer to these as chopper-cores as we can't be certain whether the whole object is being used or the flakes are being used as cutting tools. The object is part of a growing number of Quartzite tools which are being found in this area. Incomplete Neolithic polished stone axe, consisting of about two-thirds of a whole axe, but missing its blade end, suggesting it was broken while in use. The axe is probably of Langdale (or Charnwood?) slate and has a pale green/grey colouring with a diagonal white stripe near the rounded butt. It has irregular faceted edges with one surface having a flattened irregular shaped area. The fragment is 85mm long, 44mm wide and 26mm thick. It is in good condition and weighs 114g.

Neolithic stone axe, 68mm long, 40mm wide and 20mm thick. The axe is in a fair condition with a dark grey patina and weighs 55.61grams. It is chipped in several places and is missing most of its blade on one side. Where it is chipped it is a pinkish colour. The blade is quite flat and the axe tapers in width from the baldes edge, terminating in a rounded tip C.10mm wide.

Neolithic polished stone axe, 200mm long and 62mm wide. The axe is made from Charnwood Tuff and is unfinished. The axe has chip marks over its surface but the tip of the axe has been mostly finsished though, having a highly polished surface. The tip appears to been damaged in the ground, having an uneven edge.
