Post Medieval lead alloy seal or token? c. 30mm in diamater and weighing 15.87g. The object is circular in form and rectangular in cross section and has a raised lip on one surface which has the remains of a recessed attachemnet loop visible (near the base as shown). This lipped side is decorated with the letters 127 sitting above a central raised six pointed star motif. The base is flat and plain. The object could be a wire or thread seal? or some sort of token or tally . For possibly older wire seals see Elton, S F. 'Cloth seals' p274-5 and BERK-738912, LVPL-53C7C1, LEIC-92C067

Post medieval lead cloth seal. 14mm in length, 12mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 1.91grams. The seal is circular and formed of two discs now incomplete which would have been joined by a short rectangular strip. Obverse inscription reads I?-/160-/ C N. This could be a match for the seal of Thomas Lane (TL) 1603 or Joshua Culey (IC) , 1606 Mayors of Norwich. Reverse image may be of a lion or a portculis? Egan, G. Provenanced Leaden cloth seals UCL Thesis 1987 p.177-8.

Post medieval two part lead alloy cloth seal, Length: 15 mm, thickness: 2 mm, diameter: 13 mm, weight: 1.78 g. The object is formed of two circular plates, one above the other, joined by a thin rectangular strip. This has been stamped on one side with a crowned harp in a beaded border. This would date it to the reign of James I.

Post medieval lead alloy cloth seal, dating to 1600-1750. Thickness: 2 mm, diameter: 16 mm, weight: 1.62 g The object is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It is a two part cloth seal, formed of two circles of lead pressed together. It is probably Dutch and from Leiden. It features a crown above a shield bearing a lion rampant facing left. There is a possible L to left (for Leiden?) and 1/2 to right, all sitting within beaded border. The reverse is plain.

Post Medieval lead alloy cloth seal, c.1600-1700AD. Thickness: 3 mm, diameter: 16 mm, weight: 1.87 grams. The seal is sub-circular and incomplete and was probably a two part seal. It is decorated on one surface with a three part castle with central tower and gate with large door in front. This is flanked by turrets, each one has an enlarged arrow slit - a vertical slit with rounded terminals. Each turret has a domed roof with spherical finial and a lipped edge below. Post medieval lead alloy two part cloth seal. The seal is circular in form and rectangular in cross section, with a slight rectangular projection. Its upper surface has a rasied shield shaped border which contains 6 fleurs de lis motifs below a 'double label' (a horizontal line with three right angled projections) containing two more small fleurs. Post medieval lead alloy cloth seal fragment, probably dating to 1500-1700. Part of a two part seal which has a relief Fleur-de-lis? motif on one face with an intial B to the right of it. The other side has a cricular depression which appears to be deliberate. Length: 18 mm, width: 17 mm, thickness: 3.0 mm, weight: 4.03 g.
