Medieval iron horseshoe fragment, 91mm long and 20mm wide with a weight of 54g. The fragment represents just under half a shoe, has a rectangular cross section and a curved tapering form. It has one inner flat edge and the outer edge is 'lobate' with rounded projections. These allow for oval shaped recesses with rectangular holes to accommodate the nails. There are three such holes in the fragment, two of which still contain the rectangular cross sectioned nails. Medieval to post medieval iron horseshoe, 103mm in length, 30mm wide and 7mm thick with a weight of 174grams. The object is U shaped with a rectangular cross section. It is formed of a wide flat sheet with a V shaped central hole. It is incomplete missing one end, but the intact end is sub triangular in form and along its outer curved side are the traces of four rectangular nail holes. The object dates to 1250-1600. It is of Clark Type 4 (Clark, 2004, The Medieval Horse and its Equipment).

Possible Roman iron object, 102mm in length, 32mm wide and 7mm thick with a weight of 23.47grams. The object is T shaped in form and rectangular in cross section. It has two short right angled projections at one end which are seperated by a semi-circlular depression on the outer surface, which continues down the front as a concave shallow recess for 20-30mm. The object is possibly a T-shaped clamp which would have been used in the fixing of a variety of architectural elements, especially box flue-tiles. See NMS-8225A8 Cf. Manning 1985, 131-2, R70-2.

Medieval or Post medieval iron buckle, 39mm in length, 20mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 1.9grams. The buckle has a D shaped frame with a circular cross section. It has a central bar containing a pin and a triangular plate folded onto the bar, which has a circular loop at its apex. The objects form could give it a medieval date but its iron construction and condition suggest a later post medieval one.

The object is rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a flat ended blade like section, which tapers in width from 43 to 21mm, where it forms a rectangular cross sectioned shaft. This has one face which is rounded to accomodate a circular hole through its centre. Its possibly an adze or a wide bladed chisel?
