Possible Roman ceramic oil lamp c. 90mm long. The lamp is circular in form and sub circular in cross section. It has a small sub- triangular shaped spout like projection at one side with a circular hole in its upper surface and on the opposite side is a solid semi-circular handle. The upper part of the lamp has a large circular hole with a lip and then a flat border which itself has a lipped edge. It is decorate with a series of 'tear drop' shaped projections in a row. Roman Samian bowl sherd, 131mm long and 89mm wide and 9mm thick. The sherd forms part of the base and body of a bowl, with part of a raised circular foot with a rectangular cross section. The outer surface has applied decoration divided into rectangular frames by rope like borders. The central one shows a leopard running left. To the left of this is part of a standing human figure and to the right of this, above the leopard are parts of large circular raised borders, with a similar motof to the leopards right. Undated ceramic spindle whorl, 34mm in diameter and 25mm high. The object is in fair condition with an orange patina and weighs 20.93grams. It is circular in form with a circular hole, 7mm in diameter. In section it is sub rectangular with flat upper and lower surfaces and a bulging waist. The fabric not been positively identified past it being sandy.
