One base sherd of Roman Red slipped colour coat, 37mm long, 34mm wide and 10mm thick. The sherd has a very worn inner surface and the base has been knife trimmed to form a chamfered edge. The fabric is a course grey with a red slip, applied to imitate samian wares.

Roman ceramic nene valley colour coat sherds weighing 70grams. Five sherds in total (two photographed) made up of two body sherds with dark brown slip and two base sherds of the same colour. The fifth is a sherd with an orange slip internally and a pale brown slip externally (see photo). This is probably a closed form, perhaps a jug.

Late Roman colour coat rouletted rim fragment, 58m long, 25mm wide and 8mm thick. The fragment is in fair condition and weighs 17.28grams. The rim would have formed part of a jar lid, probably used for cooking and was produced in the Lower Nene Valley in the fourth century.
