Fragment of a Roman ceramic imbrex roof tile. 80mm in length, 90mm wide and 35mm thick with a weight of 289grams. The fragment is bright orange in colour and sub rectangular in shape. The underside of the fragment is fairly rough with a rectangular area of parallel grooved lines, whereas the upper facing surface is smooth. The upper surface has a curved edge on the left hand side of the tile.

Roman ceramic flue tile fragment, 90mm in length, 90mm wide and 25mm thick with a weight of 253g. The fragment is sub rectangular in form and cross section. One surface has an incised pattern consisting of six parallel grooved lines in the centre with a series of short lines diagonally placed atone side and a series of thin chevrons on the other.

Roman ceramic tile fragment, 280mm in length, 190mm wide and 40mm thick with a weight of 3200g. The tile is sub rectangular in form and cross section. Its upper surface has two sets of three small ovoid depressions which could be an animal paw print, but may be also be interpreted as finger tip impressions. Alan McWhirr noted these were used as tally marks or makers marks throughout the Roman world (See McWhirr 1984 p 99).

Medieval to early post Medieval ceramic vessel body sherds. Both have a creamy/orange internal body colour with small quartz grit inclusions and a paler grey inner colour. Each has a glazed outer surface, one is a deep irregular applied green, the other is brown and possibly slightly later.

Possible Roman ceramic oil lamp c. 90mm long. The lamp is circular in form and sub circular in cross section. It has a small sub- triangular shaped spout like projection at one side with a circular hole in its upper surface and on the opposite side is a solid semi-circular handle. The upper part of the lamp has a large circular hole with a lip and then a flat border which itself has a lipped edge. It is decorate with a series of 'tear drop' shaped projections in a row.
