Medieval to early post Medieval ceramic vessel body sherds. Both have a creamy/orange internal body colour with small quartz grit inclusions and a paler grey inner colour. Each has a glazed outer surface, one is a deep irregular applied green, the other is brown and possibly slightly later.

Early Medieval to Medieval Stamford ware sherd, 49mm long, 46mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 23g. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section. It has a pale cream/brown patina and finely grained fabric with small grit inclusions. Its outer surface has trace sof pale greenish translucent glaze. It forms part of the base and side of a vessel. Its underside in concave and its sides shows linear ridges internally.

A fragment of a medieval ceramic vessel, 24mm in length, 53mm wide and 11mm thick and with a weight of 57.12grams. The fragment consist of an intacg 'bung hole' form a pitcher or jug with a slight amount of body attached to it. The hole is 20mm in diameter and is framed by a rectangular cross sectioned rim which projects c.12 mm from the body. The fabric is highly fired and has quarts inclusions. The outer surface is a grey colour and the core is a pale orange. Probably Medieval in date.

Medieval ceramic vessel fragment, 68mm long, 48mm wide and 8-10mm thick with a weight of 34.2grams. The object consists of a large curving body sherd with rim attached. There is a large circular hole just below the rim with projecting edges, suggesting it once had a handle. This and its curved form suggest a pipkin (cooking pot). It has a creamy white/grey colour and a fine fabric consistent with Stamford ware. It also has a rim c.20mm wide, with a flat upper surface which has been rouletted. It has two lines of closely placed rectangular depressions running across its surface.

Early medieval to medieval Stamford? ware rim sherd. 36mm long, 14mm wide and 10mm thick with a weight of 6.30grams . The rim sherd has a cream coloured finely grained form with grog inclusions and its surface is a reduced dark grey. It has a rectangular cross section with a rounded projection on one surface which forms the outer edge. The sherd is undecorated.
