Medieval copper alloy strap end. 59mm in length, 12mm wide and 3-5mm thick with a weight of 9.57grams. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and consists of three plates, It has a large central plate and two thinner outer ones, one of which is only present as a small fragment. These are held together with a single rivet, just off centre. At the upper end it has three small circular holes, arranged in a row with the central one being slightly larger. Medieval copper alloy strap end fragment, 21mm in length, 17mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 2.93grams. The fragment is part of the central frame of a three part strap end. The object consists of the lower central part and has a crescentric shaped and rectangular cross sectioned incomplete plate. In teh centre of its outer rounded edge it has an 'acorn' shaped terminal which has a D shaped cross section and has a rounded collar where it joins the plate. On the opposite side of the plate is a corresponding small rectangular shaped and cross sectioned projection.

Early Medieval or Medieval copper alloy strap end, Length: 22 mm, width: 12 mm, thickness: 4 mm, weight: 2.74 g The object is in poor condition and is sub rectangular in form and rectangular in section. It has a flat upper edge with sides that turn inwards forming a pointed terminal. It is decorated with a single rectangular cross sectioned ridge running vertically down its centre.

Early medieval copper alloy strap end, 800-1000AD. Length: 55 mm, width: 12 mm, thickness: 2 mm, weight: 5.75 grams The object is sub rectangular inform and rectangular in cross section, with bowed sides. It has a split upper end with teow rounded projections, each of which houses an iron rivet, below and in between these is a further iron rivet, suggesting a repair. The object is decorated on one side with an interlaced design, suggesting two interwined beasts, contained in an incised border. Below this at the terminal is an incised animal head motif on a slightly raised area.…

Copper-alloy medieval, three piece strap end. The strap end is sub-rectangular in plan with a domed outside edge with a terminal/knop. Below this is a central rivet. The attachment edge has two notches in it with a rivet in the centre. The surface is undecorated. Length 21mm, width 13mm, thickness 3mm, weight 1.36g. Copper-alloy medieval, three piece strap end. The strap end is sub-rectangular in plan with a scalloped attachment edge in the centre of which are the remains of a grooved aperture, one side is broken off. There is a rivet in one corner of the unbroken side of the attachment edge. The strap end tapers towards a pointed end which is has been worn off leaving a blunt terminal. Length 42mm, width 16mm, thickness 1mm, weight 2.41g. See Egan and Pritchard 1997, Pg.142, Pl.93, No. 653.

Copper-alloy, medieval strap end. The strap end is sub-rectangular in plan, the attachment end has a concave inside edge with two rivets in place, in each corner. The outside edge expands into a round terminal with a slightly flattened end. The surface has a transverse incised line just below the rivets near the attachment end and an incised lozenge shape on the round terminal. The back is undecorated. Length 36mm, width 20mm, thickness 4mm, weight 4.57g. See Griffiths, Philpott and Egan, 2007, Pg. 135, Pl. 23, No. 1560/1559.

Medieval copper-alloy composite strap end, 26mm long, 12mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 3.67grams. The object is a three part strap end with two plain outer plates and a central spacer plate. It is rectangular in form with a a triangular shaped terminal containing a central spherical collared acorn knop. It has one visible rivet at the upper edge. This type of strap end dates to the mid 13th -15th century,( Egan and Pritchard, Dress accessories p.144) for a similar example see HAMP-5E30B4

It consists of two rectangular plates with a rounded, pointed terminal held together over a frame. There is one rivet close to the pointed terminal and two at the upper flat end to hold in the strap. The objects appears to be plain and is complete.

Medieval copper alloy strap end, 47mm long, 19mm wide and 1mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 3.84grams. The object is sub-rectangular in form and section and has slightly tapering sides which terminate on a triangular point. The upper edge has two V shaped recesses, under which are placed a copper alloy rivet. The surface has wheeled decoration dividing the surface into two halves, each decorated with a zig-zag line intersected by short horizontal lines.
